Grass Drags Congratulations to all of the winners of the 2005 North East Ohio Series of Grass! This year's series was quite different than those past, in that it was held over one weekend, August 27th and 28th, with the Sunday being worth double points. Year after year the Xtreme Riders Grass Drags is only successful because of the dedication it's club members have to the sport and the racers who come to support us. Financially, these races and the resulting generosity to local charities, such as 'Homes for Kids', is only made possible by those business and individuals that give so much. Kind thanks to those who commit a great amount of their personal time to the event and to those that sponsor everything form lanes and the DJ to the entire Series! Many people touched by the supported local charities breathe easier from these proceeds… God Bless! Please see the 2005 North East Ohio Series of Grass Race Results section of this publication for a list of the class winners. You can also check results and race day pictures on our website at: xtremeriders.snowclubs.com
Snowmobilier of the Year In last month's article, the Xtreme Rides recognized Kevin Davis as our "Snowmobilier of the Year". Kevin is actually a member of three local clubs and has helped to organize the coalition of clubs in the Pennsylvania Allegheny National Forest [ANF]. I wanted to take this time to share a great letter Kevin's wife Cyndi submitted as a nomination: "Kevin is such an ambassador to the sport. If he could, he would recruit everyone he knows to the sport. He spends much of his free time working not only with the ANF to improve riding conditions there, but he has contacted many of our lawmakers to try to keep our national parks open for the snowmobiler. Most people don't see the time and effort Kevin puts into keeping our sport alive…. "

Kevin, thanks for everything you do for snowmobiling! He and Cyndi also have a very competitive grass racing daughter named Winter …and a future rider on the way.
